Inspired by my brother posting something from the past, here's mine =)
p/s I wrote this during ns on a notebook
"Finally, something worth my time writing after 1 month+ here. I would like to blog this but... no internet + no computers = pakai buku je la... Anyway, cinta akan negara. 19th of April 2007, the day I finally think deeply about. "Cinta akan negara" that is.
Well, I was born as a Malaysian. Sent to this camp to learn "how to love Malaysia" (one of the reasons.) When given a deep thought about it, why should I love Malaysia? Not that I hate Malaysia or anything but is our love to our country really sincere if we are to learn how to love Malaysia this way? I'm asking this not because I'm a Chinese and my homeland is China because frankly speaking, I don't have any love for China as well.
My opinion is that every person in this world is given the chance or choice to love the country they wish and not subjected to the country they were born or live in. I think if a country wants its citizens to love their country, then they must be 'lovely' in terms of peace, wealth, opportunities, security and many more, depending on one's needs. That way, every country will strive harder to prepare a 'lovely' country to attract citizens from all over the world.
This love can then be called - Genuine!"
Hah! Semangat old me XD
